On Tuesday 10th March the Project Co-ordinator for Openreach - Wendy Sycamore accompanied by two Project Engineers held a meeting in Stanwick Church to give an update on the installation of Fibre broadband to Stanwick and Kirkbridge.
Work will start on Monday the 16th March at Aldbrough with the installation of the two poles necessary to get the cable over the road. Following this the cable will be laid , using specialised equipment along the road to the entrance to outer lodge then down the field to the Mary Wild Beck and finally across the fields to an existing pole adjacent Church Lodge. this work is scheduled to take 2/3 weeks.
Once this connection is made the existing fibre network in Stawick will be updated two the latest Standard
Different teams will take over to undertake the connection of the fibre into those properties who have signed up. This can be a protracted process depending on individual circumstances but is expected to be completed by the end of june.
